A supermarket is making news in China after it advertised condoms for sale at a special 'back to school' price.
The store in Shanghai put up an eye-catching sign in the middle of a display of Durex condoms.
"Shocking price for back to school: 24.80 yuan ($3.5)", reads the ad, according to Xinmin News.
The supermarket has been criticised for aiming condoms at students and also for distracting them from their studies. However, there are those who support the supermarket, saying that the special price addresses students' limited finances.
Condom producer Durex has tried to distance itself saying they were not aware of the promotion and it was a special price the individual supermarket has decided to offer.
But what the paper doesn't mention is another possibility, maybe the special pricing isn't for students but for the parents of children heading back to school now that they have some more time on their hands!
